Recreation Ground

The Recreation Ground is located in the north of the village. The main entrance is in Aris Lane (formerly known as Partricks Lane).  It can also be reached on foot, either from Mansfield Street near the junction with John Eagle Close, or from the eastern end of Needham Road.

It has a childrens' play area has received an £50,000.00 upgrade thanks to a grant from East Northant Council and Stanwick Parish Council.

It also has an area for basketball and is the home ground for Stanwick Rovers Football Club which has both junior and adult teams. Near the main entrance is Stanwick Bowls Club.

Stanwick Bowls Club was founded in 1923. It is a friendly club with games being played on our high quality green April-September and indoor, short mat games through the winter months. New players of all standards will be made very welcome. Please visit their website for further information

Adult fitness equipment is now available thanks to a successful grant application to Awards for All.

Stanwick Allotments - Raunds Road

Stanwick Allotments are up and running thanks to the funding from the Big Lottery.

This is a great addition to the facilities available in Stanwick

The allotments are let on one year tenancies.

There is a waiting list for allotments for Stanwick residents that is operated on a first come first service basis. You can apply for an allotment using the online form provided here (click below) or download the form from the 'forms and documents' section of this page and send it to the clerk.

Community Garden - Raunds Road

There is now an active community garden group that has their own facebook page and email address :  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The Community Garden allows you to get your fingers dirty without the full time responsibility of an allotment. Contact the community garden group to find out how you can get involved.

Memorial Gardens  - Spencer Parade

The Gardens are in Spencer Parade beside to the Village Hall.

It is a small green area that can be used by residents and visitors as an area for relaxation. If you would like to use the area for an event, please download the indemnity form and contact the parish clerk.

Stanwick Pocket Park - Raunds Road

Stanwick Pocket Park are a community group that have a 25 year management agreement with the Council to create and maintain a pocket park. The area is approximatley 6 acres and incorporates ponds, an orchard a wild flower meadow and a BBQ area. It is open 24/7 without charge. It was created with funding from Grantscape. New helpers are always welcome.

Stanwick Lakes

Stanwick Lakes are managed by Rockingham Forest Trust and have a website with lots of  information.
