COVID 19 & STANWICK Play area

The children's play area at the recreation ground has been closed under Government lock down guidance since March 2020. Relaxation of the lock down rules means that the play area may be re-opened after 4th July 2020.

It is not possible to completely eliminate the risk of COVID-19.

Scientific advice suggests that the virus can survive for up to several days on some hard surfaces, particularly when indoors. These risks are reduced when outdoors, where surfaces may be subject to UV light and/or rain. The virus could survive long enough on frequently used/touched outdoor surfaces to facilitate transmission.

The Parish Council does not employ grounds staff or have volunteers that could manage attendance numbers, clean equipment, operate time limits or manage queuing areas or keep records for 21 days for track and trace. In a rural village setting it is not feasible to have a booking system.

The equipment, gates and environment are NOT disinfected.

Please use the area sensibly and please take your rubbish home with you.

If you or a member of your household is identified as vulnerable, please stay away.

Any person choosing to use the equipment in the play area or allows a young person to use the play area, does so at their own risk.

Social distancing still applies

Good hand washing still applies

If you or any member of your household shows signs of the virus - stay at home and get tested.
