Stanwick in Bloom

We will be holding an informal Stanwick in Bloom alongside the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations. Free to enter, you will be able to add your home to the trail map. The map can be found on the notice board on the side of the village hall and is pinned to the top of our Facebook page. Individual paper maps are not available.

There are no hard and fast rules - hanging baskets, pots, flower beds, decorate a window, decorate the house, create a scene with scarecrows, the choice is yours.

Stanwick in Bloom - clarification

When we had the idea for Stanwick in Bloom the thought was to have the front of properties decorated and looking floral with people wandering by, much like during the scarecrow festival. I have had a few enquiries asking if gardens needs to be open for all 4 days from people thinking about access to the rear of their properties.

We are mindful of community safety considerations and would not want gates left unlocked and homeowners having strangers (however nice everyone in Stanwick is) walk in randomly over a 4 day period.

So, as we have not had a significant number of properties come forward, a map will be produced that will be pinned to the top of our facebook page and will be on the notice board. We will not be selling trail maps.

There is still time to add your property to the map - please let me know by the end of Wednesday 25th May if you plan to decorate your house and would like to be included - thank you

Stanwick Bunting

Our environmentally friendly, not-single-use bunting has been expanded thanks to the donation of material and time given to cut up the fabric and the people who have stitched all on to the tapes. Thank you.
