The Parish Council has received correspondence from WHP Telecoms Ltd, outlining their intention to install a telecoms mast at the junction of Wetenhall Road and Raunds Road. Companies have to submit details to the planning department, and they are judged under the Prior Notification procedure. The proposals are judged in accordance with Part 24 Class A of the General Permitted Development Order. There is no requirement for external notification with such proposals and as such, WHP Telecoms had contacted the Parish Council as a courtesy.

The proposed location is on the county verge not on Parish Council owned land.

If the proposal is judged as conforming to the Prior Notification standards, planning consent will be granted by the Planning Authority (North Northamptonshire Council) without any requirement for external comments, such as from the Parish Council.

Despite these restrictions, the Parish Council does not support the proposal and has agreed to write to WHP Telecoms Ltd accordingly.
