Street Lighting

Within Stanwick, street lighting on adopted roads is the responsibility of Northamptonshire County Council. In other villages the arrangements may differ.

Any problems with the street lamps should be reported to Balfour Beatty* via :

Fault report number: 0800 0850 257 or        Email:

*There are certain street lamps which Balfour Beatty do not maintain.

Certain columns in Cumberland Avenue are maintained by Spire Homes and Rockingham Forest Housing Association.

The two lamps in Green Lane are maintained by the Parish Council because they are on a public Right of Way. The Parish Council also maintains the columns on the footpath between Spencer Parade and Mansfield Street. Any problems with these five columns should be reported to the Parish Council.

Street lights on unadopted roads such as Marks Close and Samuels Close are the responsibility of the developer or the householders. These roads are unadopted because the developer has not completed the necessary paperwork with Northamptonshire County Council.
